KET Bursary Sponsorship Fund

Our Bursary Fund aims to raise the number of sponsored pupils at Kivukoni in order to maintain the school’s exceptional diversity, and make their education sustainable for the long term. The fund can be supported -

  1. By Bursary Sponsorship:  This is a long-term commitment for the duration or part of a child's education at Kivukoni School. It involves a fixed annual contribution for a nominated number of years, (see below) which either on its own, or when combined with other donations will secure the child's place at school until they graduate. A KET Bursary effectively tops up the school's existing fee-subsidy scheme for parents most in need of support.  Please 'Contact Us' for more information on candidate selection, progress reporting and how sponsors may keep in touch and follow their student's educational experience at Kivukoni.
  2. By Endowed Sponsorships -A gift to span generations.  Create a legacy endowment with a KET Bursary bearing your name of choice. Please 'Contact Us' to explore possible options.

The candidate selection process for KET support has been approved by the UK Charity Commission and involves diligence checks by the School Board, Trustees and a suitably-qualified 3rd-party referee for each applicant.  For reasons of privacy protection, contact with any sponsored child will be subject to Trust conditions, regulated through the school.

These include Teacher Training courses to help improve national standards as well as workshops in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Special Needs and Values-Based Education, Creative Arts: all  important subjects for study & student development that are unavailable to other schools.

The selection process for KET Community Project support has been approved by the UK Charity Commission and involves a comprehensive application process including submission of detailed budgets, cost/benefit analysis, progress & delivery reports.

Why Kivukoni?
