The Trust's Objectives align with National and International Development goals, including Kenya's Vision 2030, which "aims to drastically improve the quality of life and environment in Kenya" and the UN affirmation that "inclusive and quality education for all is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development "
KET Board Trustees have all known Kivukoni School personally since it was founded in 2011 and can vouch for the integrity of its management and dedication to offer holistic, environmentally-conscious education as a way to improve lives across the community.
What began as a small bi-lingual nursery school, is now a
buzzing and well-respected International School
for children from early years to iGCSE. In line with its founding principles, Kivukoni has always offered bursary support, and its student body comprises
a
wide range of nationalities, cultures, and economic backgrounds.
This delivers an
educational experience as enriching and diverse as life itself.
KET Trustees
must ensure full compliance with Charity Commission & HMRC requirements for transparency and accountability.

Multicultural Learning
The school’s unique environment fosters
transformative learning experiences:
For less privileged students, it unlocks a
world of opportunities. Many win
scholarships
to prestigious schools and
world-class universities. Those who transition to the Kenyan system stand out for their
leadership qualities and critical thinking,
nurturing
ambitions for further education.
For more privileged students it
creates a deeper understanding and appreciation of diversity
in all its forms.
Sustainability and Leadership
Kivukoni is a certified Eco-School and a member of the Federation for Environmental Education.
The school campus is fully off-grid, with locally or self-built infrastructure. Environmental consciousness is embedded into the school's practice and curriculum, nurturing a deep understanding and respect for our ecosystems.
Every student becomes a
natural ambassador for the environment.
A vital trait for tomorrow's leaders.

Our Future
In response to community demand, the school is now extending to Senior level, which requires investment for infrastructure and higher associated costs.
Kivukoni is committed to the ethos of ‘Education for All’ to benefit every pupil through learning in a diverse, multi-cultural environment. Despite a strong wait list, the school now seeks outside support for the bursaries necessary to protect that diversity.
By helping KET expand the Kivukoni Bursary programme for less-advantaged students you will make a real difference to individual lives, families, communities - and ultimately, to the world we all share.
